To Dad with Love
Thaththi, daddy, pop, no matter what you call him, he is the one you think of when something great happens or when you need a little pick me up. Let's here from the people of COCO themselves, their favorite memory of their dad.

My dad is a photographer. I used to love watch him work in his studio for hours. This is the first picture we took with the first camera my dad bought me. He was supposed to take a picture of me to attach on my Students Record Book but we ended up taking a selfie! (before selfies became a thing).
This was the beginning of my journey as a photographer. He is my mentor, my biggest cheerleader and the harshest critique. Everything I am today, I owe it to him.

My dad loved his new jeep, and i still remember the day he brought it home. Once, while playing in it I accidentally spilt my milkshake all over the front seat! I remember crying my eye balls out afraid that he would punish us. Instead he came, lifted us both on his two hands and said 'Are you really that afraid of me? Please don't be afraid of me..'
That's my favourite memory of my dad. He taught us to always do the right thing, not out of fear but out of our own consciousness.

My father was the man who lifted me up at all times, from day one, literally and metaphorically. My fondest memory of him is my very first cricket match, it was crowded, and I was a tiny tot, but my father carried me on his shoulders through the day just so I can see the match. He has made so many sacrifices, and I am who I am today, thanks to him .

Ever since I could remember, I was terrified of thunder and lightning. I was around five, when a terrible thunderstorm hit Colombo. My dad came to my room to check up on my sister and I. He noticed I was still up and evidently crying. He made me a hot chocolate and told me I had nothing to worry about and proceeded to explain the science behind thunderstorms. Ever since that day, I haven't once been fazed by a storm.
Why is this my favourite memory of my Dad? Well, it involves two of the few things I love in my life; hot chocolate and my Dad!
